1. Who we are
VedaChamp (vedachamp.com, our videos and, in future, our app) is a learning and games service for children from preschool to Class 7. It is run by Vedaant Enterprises, a proprietorship firm based in Barwala, Hisar, Haryana, India (GSTIN 06FIQPD3056Q2ZM). In this policy, "VedaChamp", "we", "us" and "our" mean Vedaant Enterprises.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for any personal data we process. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written for parents and guardians.
2. Our promises
- No ads today, and never targeted ads for children. VedaChamp shows no ads right now. If that ever changes, the strict rules in section 7 will apply, and parents will be able to choose an ad-free option.
- No tracking or profiling. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising IDs, tracking pixels or cookies, and we do not monitor children's behaviour to target them.
- We never sell or rent personal data.
- No chat and no contact with strangers. Children cannot message anyone, share photos, or post anything public.
- No pressure tactics. No loot boxes, no countdown offers, and no tricks that push children to play longer or pay.
- Parents stay in control. Accounts and payments will always belong to a parent or guardian, never to the child.
3. What we collect today
Right now, anyone can use VedaChamp's games without creating an account. We do not ask for a name, phone number, email address, photo, location or school.
| Information | Where it lives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Game settings on your device: language choice, sound on/off, chosen class, game category, game levels and best scores, and the fun-facts counter | Only in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us. | So the site remembers your choices next time. You can erase it any time by clearing your browser's site data. |
| Basic technical data: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time | Our hosting provider's servers (Netlify), as standard web server logs | To deliver pages, keep the site running and protect it from attacks. We do not use this to identify children or build profiles. |
| Font requests: your browser asks Google Fonts for our letter styles, which shares your IP address and browser type with Google | Google's servers | To show our text styles. We do not place any Google cookies or trackers. |
| Videos: when someone taps a video, it plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). The video list and thumbnails come through our own server, so nothing loads from YouTube until a video is tapped. | YouTube (Google) receives the IP address and device information needed to play the video | To play our own videos. Our videos are set as "Made for Kids", so YouTube turns off personalised ads, comments and similar features on them. |
| Emails you send us: your email address and whatever you write | Our email inbox (Hostinger) | To reply to you and solve your request |
Read-aloud and sounds: some games speak words aloud. This uses the speech feature built into your own device. We never use the microphone or camera, and we never record audio.
Cookies: VedaChamp does not set cookies.
Things we never collect from children: real names, photos, voice, contacts, precise location, school details, or device identifiers such as the advertising ID, IMEI, SIM or MAC address. Our future Android app will follow the same rule.
4. Parent accounts COMING SOON
We plan to add an optional parent account so families can save progress across devices and, later, choose a paid plan. When it launches:
- Only a parent or guardian can create an account. They will log in with their mobile number and a one-time password (OTP).
- For each child, the parent adds only a nickname (not a real name), the class and an avatar. We then store the child's game progress, such as levels, stars and scores.
- We will get the parent's verifiable consent, as the DPDP Act and its Rules require, before processing any child's data.
- Payments will be handled by a licensed payment provider. We will never see or store card, UPI or bank details. We will keep a record of the plan, amount, date and payment status, because tax law requires it.
- We will update this policy and show it to you before you sign up.
5. Children's privacy
Under the DPDP Act, a "child" is anyone under 18. VedaChamp is made for children, so we are especially careful:
- Children can play without giving us any personal data.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child without verifiable consent from their parent or guardian. If we find out that we have, we will delete it.
- We do not track or monitor children's behaviour, and we never show them targeted advertising.
- Grown-up areas, such as the Parents' corner and future settings and payments, sit behind a simple "grown-ups only" question.
If you think your child has sent us personal information, please email hello@vedachamp.com and we will delete it.
6. How we use information
- To run VedaChamp and show the right games for your child's class and language
- To keep the service safe and secure, and to fix problems
- To reply to your messages, requests and complaints
- To meet our legal duties, such as tax records or lawful requests from authorities
We do not use personal data for advertising, and we do not use children's data to train artificial intelligence models.
7. Advertising
Ads on VedaChamp
There are no ads on VedaChamp today. If we ever decide to show ads, we will update this policy first and tell parents on the site, and these rules will apply:
- Ads will be non-personalised and age-appropriate. There will be no interest-based ads, no remarketing and no profiling of children, as the DPDP Act and Google's policies require.
- In our Android app, ads will come only from ad networks that Google has approved for children's apps (Google Play "Families Self-Certified Ads SDKs").
- Ads will be clearly labelled as ads and easy to close. They will never take over the screen when a game opens, and they will never look like part of a game.
- There will be no ads in grown-up areas such as payments, and no ads that ask children to buy things.
- Parents will be able to choose an ad-free experience.
How we advertise VedaChamp
We may run ads for VedaChamp on Google, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. These ads are aimed at parents and adults only, never at children, and they follow the platforms' rules and the ASCI Code for advertising to children. We do not put advertising pixels or tracking tags on pages children use. To see which campaigns work, we use simple campaign links, which carry no personal data. If we ever add ad measurement tags, they will be only on parent-only pages, and only with consent where the law requires it.
9. How long we keep it
- Settings on your device stay until you clear them. We never hold a copy.
- Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short time for security, and then deleted automatically.
- Emails are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your request, and then deleted.
- Future account data will be kept while the account is active. It will be deleted when a parent deletes the account, or after a long period of no use. We will tell you before that happens. Payment records will be kept only as long as tax law requires.
10. Security and storage
VedaChamp is served only over secure HTTPS connections. We use security headers and give access only to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect personal data. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Our providers may store or process data on servers outside India. The DPDP Act allows this, except to countries the Government of India restricts.
11. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you, and parents and guardians acting for their child, have the right to:
- Access: ask what personal data we hold about you or your child, and how we use it
- Correct or update it if it is wrong or incomplete
- Erase it when it is no longer needed
- Withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as giving it.
- Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to act
- Complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India
To use any of these rights, email hello@vedachamp.com from the contact you use with us. We may ask a simple question to confirm it is really you. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days, or sooner if the law requires.
12. Deleting your data
Today all game data is on your own device. To delete it, clear the site data for vedachamp.com in your browser settings, or uninstall the app.
When parent accounts launch, you will be able to delete your account and all your children's data inside the app, or by following the steps on our Delete account page. We delete account data within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires, such as payment and tax records, for the period the law sets.
13. Links to other sites
VedaChamp links to our own channels on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Links that leave our site sit behind a grown-ups-only question. Those platforms have their own privacy policies and age rules, and we do not control them. Please open them for your child, or watch together.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. For important changes, especially before parent accounts launch, we will show a clear notice on the site, and we will ask for fresh consent where the law requires it.
